I counted this for the 52 book club challenge’s prompt “the word ‘secret’ in the title”, so, bully for me. This book did not age well in a lot of ways. But also, Jessi’s first book! Big fan. Three and a half stars for much the same reasons as Mallory’s first book.
Child Drama, and also Jeff. This book could have gotten a lot more Gender than it did but mostly just showed the reality of How Kids Are, which is not particularly Gender, so that was interesting and cool. Two stars due to Child Drama. Also, Jeff bores me.
